Why did obama tell us today what to do and fail to mention its everything he is working against right now?

Obama didn't say anything new or different today. He gave a carefully prepared statement with a teleprompter and then took questions from preselected reporters (cherry picked questions). The answer to the first question was a replica of the speech. The Saul Alinsky style target of the day was oil companies and private jet owners. The primary objective was to set up the Republican position on spending cuts as a bad idea and show they don't care about the people. A rearrangement of the wording used for every one of his speeches ever given. The same old saw sounds the same every time he starts it.
