My Older Dog Has Tumors But He Is Very Healthy?

My aunts dog, copper, is almost 10 he has tumors on his back ,and appearently my aunt says for a while, she sometimes cries because shes had him 4ever, but the vet patched up his leg (after fight woth our pitbull mix long story) and he said he has a helthy heart beat and everything, he is fast running, he kinda prances i guess, he got ran over as a puppy b4 my aunt got him, so he has pins holding his back legs up, he seems healthy can i expect him to live a full life? he is hound and labrador mix (about 13 year average)
