How do I bypass guardianedge software installed on my laptop?

My company was sold and they let us keep our laptops since the new company was upgrading to new devices. I get a warning on startup that says "this computer is locked for failure to communicate with the GuardianEdge Management Server". How can I get past this so I can actually use the laptop?
